Ozenzo, I did order Focus on Designing. The book Fred really suggested.

I should be getting it in a few days.
I found mine with www.bookfinder.com.

Takes a bit to receive a book when ordering from a independent book store but you can find books that aren't on Amazon, B&N etc..

Update: Strange, bookfinder doesn't find the book anymore. Anyone having the same problem?

Ozenzo, I keep finding it right after it's been sold. I'm still looking, though.

Jeezus, thanks. I'll check it out.

Thanks all.

Aliasmoze, and whoever else is interested...

I picked up a new (well new to me - it's circa 1998 or so) Frank Ching book called "Design Drawing" which is just phenomenal. Most of his other books are very technical, nuts and bolts books about architecture, technical drawing, basic drawing skills and techniques, which are all very cool and very informative. Design Drawing is more about the process of design, and how drawing is involved. Kind of difficult to boil it all down into a few sentences, but this book is a great resource for learning about drawing as a means of thinking about form and space and how to conceptualize and solve design problems. Beautifully hand drawn as well, as are all of Frank Ching's books. There's even a cd rom included which has some quicktimes and images to back up the material in the book. Pick it up if you can.

Francis, I got his "Form, Space, and Order" book, and it's really good.
I'll have to check out more of his. So thanks for the recommendation

Awesome thanks for the recommendation Francis. Looks really good.

AliasMoze: Any update on the scanning of the Loomis book? I emailed you about it but no answer.

Thanks!

Doh! Sorry, Farwalker; I sometimes miss seeing e-mails.
I'm still working on the Loomis book. It's slow going, because I've been swamped.

Yeah, I feel guilty. I basically have to scan a few pages when I can steal a spare moment. I'm working seven days a week on a current project, so time is a luxury. But I promised to have it by now, so I apologize.

Give me a little more time, guys. Thanks for the patience.
