Hello Dhabih
I think the solution is pretty obvious, and has already been named: When we had a problem on the topaz designs board, that there were too many posts in the misc section, we created a new section (in this case a "pissed off" section) to siphon off part of the posts in the misc (in this case the negative posts), so as to make the forum more manageable.
In this case, there aren't any negative posts, but splitting the digital art forum would not be a bad idea either. Various splits are possible, but I believe that the more easily enforceable they are, the better. Something like "quick pics/long pics" would be hard to draw a line across - perhaps some people's finished drawings look worse than other people's 1 minute sketches (esp. when you consider people like Fred and Craig who put almost everyone to shame :-P).
I would suggest, as a better split, something like "traditional art" vs. "digital art". That would split this forum roughly in half, since there are a lot of traditional artists in here.
Another good idea that has already been cited would be a "technical help" forum.
Good luck with this :-)

Personally I think any sort of "Newbie" or "Pro" board is ridiculous, because to become a pro you need help from pro's. Newbies will get much less help if all of the professionals post mostly in a single forum. Just saying this because I read a few mentions of something like this happening.
Anyways, there does need to be more catagories. My own suggestions:
-Digital Art
-Traditional Art
-Misc
-Programming
-Announcements (for all members to post crap)
I am not sure if anyone here is a programmer but I am, and I'd love to see a board for it.

I am (well, sorta). May I recommend this board: http://pub1.ezboard.com/bpankpagesforum.html
as a good resource when you need help with some aspect of web programming... I post there quite regularly.

Just my two cents on the issue..
I'm sure many of you've seen the Coolhomepages.com message boards. I think they have a relatively logical organization of forums. I think the two most useful categories for this board would be "showcasing and feedback", and "questions and answers", so people who are willing to answer q's and give tips can do that, and people who are interested in checking out new posted artwork can bypass all the "wacom questions". You might even consider a "techniques" forum so people can add cool tricks and techniques they've discovered, etc.
Anyways, I also don't have much time to spend on this board, although I wish I did sometimes. You do have a great community here. By the way, for those of you who think this board is "going" to crap, you should check out the Coolhomepages.com board...it's pretty depressing how pointless and foul-mouthed ppl can get.
