Glad to see the board is working again. I was going thru withdrawal there for awhile.
I did my first digital pic without photo reference (and it shows).
There are some obvious problems with the lighting, I just wanted to see if they were worth fixing.

Hey Mozeman, nice one. Yeah, I think there's a bit of work to be done on the lighting (just some more thinking and analysis to be done before actually putting down the paint), and something is wrong with the zombie-food's shoulders, and perhaps his body appears a bit long.
It's cool, I like it. |

*hehheh*...
I love such pics!
There's one thing I must say though...
-The zombie doesn't really look like a zombie, there should be more rotten flesh on his body, now he looks like just a skeleton...
Reference: The Evil dead trilogy, Night of the Living Dead and uhh...Micheal Jackson's Thriller...(??)

Looks like someone was influenced by the Tales From The Crypt Episode that was called "Beauty Is Only Skin Deep" or something like that.
Cool stuff, man. Can't really say anything else that hasn't already been said. Except...how about adding some more darkness to contrast with the lighting? I think that would really add more to the mood.

I thought you and your brother were attempting to get a horror job with these, I didn't realize you were messing around with these.
I really like that fire breather image, I never got to post cause the board was down.
The guys arms look like they were cut off already. I think I see what you are attempting with the foreshortening, but there is a full table blocking the arms from aiming downward, so they actually look stumpy...and a few more ribs. They seem a bit thick, and not enough of them.
I would say, do not let this image die, revive, fix, continue, etc... |

Mozeman, you forgot to mention that this drawing is from life. Good likeness of me on the right there. |

Hiya Mozeman, Those are some disgusting colours (which is a compliment in this situation I think). I don't usialy go for this sort of thing (too squemish), but I think the Image is deserving of a little touch up along the lines of what Fred said.
Just wanted to say that I liked the fire breathing image and the one of the girl you posted earlier as well. I was just about to post something to such an effect when everthing went down *sigh*.
Heh.....so yeah...I like wot U does |

Thanks for the feedback guys. Anyone else? It's really helpful.
It's hard for me to see what Fred is saying about the arms, but the length of the torso is an unfortunate illusion caused by the core shadow on the leg being too dark and no bounce light. I guess I will try to fix that and the lighting on the zombie.
I see what you mean about the ribs, Fred, and you're right of course. I really just overworked them, trying to get the blood and gore to be bloody and gorey enough.
Cleaning up the models afterward was the worst part!

I like it but that came from your mind!!!
The ribcage doesn't look quite right. The ribs nearest the stomach should be alot shorter than those higher up.
I agree with Fred that the arms are stumpy looking, his right especially. Fred was stating that if you lay on a table that's wider than the width of your body [including your arms laid by your sides]then it's going to stop your arms from hanging down like you've depicted in your picture.
Hope this helps.

I went a bit overboard with this, as usual. I hope this better explains what I was describing withthe arms...
Good luck with these scribbles, hope you can make any sense of these... |

Thanks for the help, Fred. The easiest thing to fix would be to move the edge of the table up. I also want to work on the ribs and little and fix the lighting on the z's back.
I'll work on it a bit and post the update.
