Wow, I REALLY like that image! It is blurry, but if anything I think that just adds to it. Maybe fix up her hair a little and that little trailing sash and you've got yourself a damn fine lady samurai. Good work!

Nonono! draw a barren plain with the bodies of many monsters lying about in various death postures with blood of many colours splattered here and there :-P

Nice..but the breasts are way too high up on the body. Fix that and throw in a scene from Kurisawa's "Ran" and you're set.

Just updated the image with a a bit polished one..a few more details and som sharper edges.

I`m now trying to figure out wether to put her into a background or make a more 2d oriental dragonimage and place behind her.

Waddayathink?

Hi veb! I like the way it's painted. It reminds me of Bisley One thing that bugs me a bit is that except for the sword, she does'nt lokk much like a Samurai. It has got a more Viking touch to it with the horns
and Ornaments. Thank you for your comments by ther way on the pic with the girl. I'll
finish it pretty soon.

i dig this 'cause there's no conan in it..

her left breast (our right) seems to be more closer to the camera than the right one, OR her left shoulder is a bit below and behind the right one. *shrug*. looks like that anyway.

'course, someone propably already pointed that out, but i'm too tired to read through the replies.

Hey Veb

Really great drawing once again. She really does seem to be a viking/samurai hybrid more than just a straight samurai. If you had to get rid of the horns, she'd be far more authentic.

I'm assuming that the knife in her left hand is supposed to be the wakazashi. From what I've seen I think it should be a bit longer.

Most samurai armour is much flatter than what you have done, but hey it still looks good . . . and hell it's up to you whether or not it's supposed to be authentic or not.

I also think the pike idea is good . . .

-Steve

I'll make a tertiary supportive comment on it being not wholely Samurai-like. However, I consider this to be a good thing. You're painting in the Hyborean age, and cultures would not be the same as they are today(despite what the Conan magazine comics would have you believe).

got me, jepp she`s probably gonna end up in the conan world some time in the future..
Yep, the armour is not exactly correct to the samurai, but then again, can`t remember hearing about woman samurai in the first place. But if I`m going to work more on it, like adding background, I`ll tweak it a bit, to make it a bit more authentic. Thanks for the reference, Frost

Oh..I just recently saw this cool samurai babe by Biz on the last page of the recent heavy metal magazine.

Now one can discuss wether samurai`s had silicon or saline implants..lol
