They may be just some filters, but one has to know the right filter to use to make a picture look nice and stylish. I think your modifications are great! You get a warm and 'homie' feeling with that color. But the torn paper/crease needs some more detail and realism. |

The blur at the end of the photo really isnt working for me. IMO it would look much better if the photo\picture was crisp... |

I like them. I think they're warm, too, and not self-conscious. Tender. Gentle.

Hey all, thanks for the input.
nori: Only filter I used on the whole image was Noise in order to add some scratchyness to the photo. Everything else was done with layer modes and matte techniques
trance: i agree the edges of the photo need detailing.
above: The blur was an attempt to duplicate "smudge" on a real photo. Look at some old 1920 pictures that have been around alot, you'll often notice pressmarks from where so many thumbs have been placed. the fade is an attempt to duplicate the loss of ink to the thumb.
thanks again for the input all.

I got inspired by a CD cover I saw, and wanted to try to duplicate the process. Added some matt'ing to it for depth. Comments?
