Just a pic.. Much too long since I did any 2d, so I thought I'd give it a try again..Been stuck with 3d only for too long..even though I must admit that I find normal drawing more rewarding, than a 3d thingie..
I guess its not possible to comment much since its so...undone. but. I post itanyway..if it works..my first pic post.

looks nice.
Just try to work on the composition here (my favourite word lately ).
The main attraction in this picture is the figure.. so you should put the "camera" a bit more up, and left I think.

laps-pretty nice start. Her neck is broken though. The neck swings like a hinge, but from the back not the front. YOu need to keep in mind that the base of the back of the neck begins behind the ears, you are putting too much tension on the trapezius muscles.
Francis-has your model been dead for a week or so? J/K But go for a more color saturated tonality, not black and white deliberatley...but Franics was absolutely right in commenting on the tonal range. The entire painting is painted high key, there is no major value range, and the painting needs it. Post the finish when it is complete, and good luck. |

Nice soft colors, i like it. I think her hair is not aligned with her face though, perhaps you could rotate her wig 45 degrees clockwise
Keep up the good work! |

well, I must admit it is from a photo..so..not really "art" since I'm more or less copying..So, that's why the composition is like that.. I think its ok though..with her lying like that.
So the skin tone is ok? I wanted a desaturated look to it..and I know I the hair is f**cked..I had to change the whole face..and hair.. Iva's (the girl there) first comment was "who's that?" ..so some changes is needed.
I'll up the photo when its done so you can see if its similar or not. thanks for the critique, appreciate it.

Hi laps
This is a nice start - I can tell you're using a photo reference, but it's still a nice composition. Even though it's from a photo, I think you can take some liberties and increase the value range in your painting. I hope you don't mind, but I added a little bit to your image to show what I mean.
The skin came out a little bit muddy, but I think you can get an idea of what I meant.
