... My mouse is very important to me. Cos im a gamer. Q3A/Q2/CS/Diablo 2, these are my life. My mouse helps me survive, it has become an extension of myself in these games, specially in Quake.
If youre a hardcore gamer you'll understand what i mean.. about how IMPORTANT the mouse is.
..
..
Ive never come in close contact with a real life Drawing tablet. hehehe.. never seen one before.
Question is.. what happens if i decide to install a drawing tablet ? ... Where does my mouse go ? ... does the table replace the mouse ? or is it a seperate peripheral ?
Whats the basic installation procedure ?

and .... IS IT WORTH IT ??

Yes i am REALLY interested in digital art, and airbrushing with a bloody mouse is starting to piss me off.
Mouses are for gaming not drawing.
So is a tablet worth it ? .... i dont wanna waste money see... cos like most people, it dont come easy for me.

That be all for now..
Thank you for your time.

From what I know, when you load the program up, say photoshop. It will detect if your tablet is installed. Tablet I belive has a USB or PS/2 or Serial connection. So you use your mouse till you tell your computer you need the tablet working. Which would be when you goto draw. But I could be 100% wrong Someone will clear this up I bet. I'm working on getting one myself.

The mouse and the tablet are interchangeable, and can be used simultaneously. They work basically the same way (the tablet controls the cursor), but it doesn't disable the mouse. They both work at once.

As far as hardware goes, you use both. Providing you have enough ports to plug both of them into.
Check out Wacom.com and see the requirements for a tablet.

Simply put: When your using your pen on your tablet, your mouse is deactivated. When Pen is not on tablet your mouse is activated.

I know its a little more complex then that, as neither are really 'disabled.'

WAAAAAAAAA......

A mouse really sucks to draw something, BUT it's a very, very handy tool to color your scanned sketches...

BTW, what about using your Wacom for Unreal Tournament or Q3...

Use my (soon to be here) Wacom Tablet for Q3 ???? .. hhahhahah whacked....

Ok there heres another idea.

Touchscreen monitors. Alias your controls so that wherever you touch, thats where your cursor goes and fires.

Now imaging railing someone with Touchscreen monitors..

HAHAHHA YOUR A GOD !
