sorry every post i make here is some sort of cry for help but i'm really displeased with myself lately.
it might be that i'm just not used to this damn tablet yet but i dunno.
oh yeah...the point.
i need one of you more experienced folks to hook me up with either a good site or some really good books (as in worth my not-so-hard-earned allowance...haha...i'm only 15) on how to correctly (anatomically) draw/sketch people, persons, peoples, and/or humans.
any help will be greatly appreciated.
you guys are awesome.

Wow, that's a tall order.
Hmm, the best books I've read:
1) Fun With a Pencil -- by Andrew Loomis
anything by Loomis is excellent
2) Bridgman's Life Drawing -- by George Bridgman ---- I got this recently; it rocks
3.) The Human Figure -- John H. Vanderpoel
The Bridman and Vanderpoel books are super cheap, but they are incredible. Loomis books are out of print, but you can bid for them on e-bay.
Books are okay, but the best teacher is life. Draw from life. Draw from life some more. Getting tired of it? Draw from life some more. And so on. You can't learn to draw people from books. You really have to spend the time drawing real physical people, no photos.
That's the best advice I can give you. |

Gonad - do a search on this forum for Fred Flick Stones tutorials - if you haven't seen them yet you will probably find them useful.(And take the advice given by AliasMoze!)

I am not experienced but...
Andrew Loomis has really good books. You can buy them at www.bibliofind.com. They are expensive.
Jack Hamm has an awsome book called "Drawing the Head and Figure" and all of his other books are excellent.
I learned a lot from Goerge Bridgmans books as well, all of them.
