i've been working on getting my shapes in perspective..

i think i did pretty well on this one,.. not completely finished but whaddahell,.

and yes i used a phot as a reference,.. i'll find it again, whence i get home..

but i'm sure one of the scavengers will find it before then

But I think you can draw the hair and hands better than that, can't you?. (Yeah I know, it's not finished yet

i spent most of the time getting the shape of the face to look good,. then started working on the eyes and nose... once i got these features i put the rest in there,,i need to work on the lips,.. i always screw up the lips.
anywho.thanks and hopefully i'll be through with another hour on this one..
so far it took about 1.5 hours..

I love the 60s look in her eys and lips. put more detail into the hands and the hair and it will be great!

She looks like a friend of mine.

Nice pic. My only comments, the hair could use some work and the right eye lashes look like a bad make up job.

Otherwise, nice overall. Good composition.

Is that webcam puce?

She never looked better. Not much to say, except I think that the space under her left eye (not _the_ left eye, HER left eye - it's so confusing) may be undershaded. I get the whole high contrast thing, but just my 2bits (quarterbyte?). I think the image is stunning as it is.

I think my wife expects that one day I will do a portrait of her. I hope she doesn't see this drawing, or it will give her ideas.

I really am diggin the lips. They are small, delecate, and compliment her eyes.
I also like the impsionistic nose. nice job

the hands do need some retouching, mostly around the fingernails. other than that, the fingers are great. Those fingernails are throwin me off a bit..

thank ya,.. i'll add an update tonight with the suggestions that you all made,. i'd add it now, but the piece is at home and i have to wait till i get off work..

i think the lips look a little crooked, but haven't been able to fix them,. but noone else has said they look off, so maybe it's me,.

i did,.. do you see anything particular in them that needs improvement? are they too small, too big, too round? i'm not sure what i'm missing here.

awwww!! She's so cute! Wow!! I would be nice if she was my girlfriend! hehheh!
The pic is fine too me now, however, if you have some more time left try some really tricky things: try to make some "skin details". Just look at your own hand, do you see all that details? I know that's REALLY tricky but the pic will be Super Realistic then...

Anyway, I think the pic is good as it now is, great job!

yeah, the fingers are looking better, but they still look a little funny... i think they're a little too big. I think her hands should be a little more slender and longer. And her right ring finger shouldn't be so curved. It looks like she doesn't have any knuckles

other than that, it looks great

am i the only one who noticed that you can hardly see her nose? I know thats the same as on the picture, but if you wanted to make identical, why sketch it? photocopy it... lol
(and everything else is awesome! dont see much wrong with finger, but thats just me).
