This is my 2nd attempt at painting somephin. Comments are most welcome. Hi. I was gonna post this yesterday. I had it all written up, and as I was moving the mouse to "submit new topic" there was a power surge and my internet connection was down for the rest of the day. I dunno if that means something but, smack my ass with deodorant??

Hello nori

Before I comment please tell me exactly how you posted it so it would show up like that I am having a hell of a time

Is the primary subject Willow whisp ? It is very cool I like it allot. some minor things I hope you dont mind me pointing out. The horizoin line should be straight accros the pic given no obstuctions. The further images are in the pick the less detail should be seen like the swamp Grass in the distance and where the water meets the horizon. IMO The highlights on the water are to sharp and should be evenly distributed with sharp ones that are small enough to show texture on the surface but if the water is still that does not apply. Look at the pic and imagin it to be a window that you are looking through from a fixed point. Sorry If I sound critical I am really not meaning to sound that way just trying to offer suggestions. Keep up the great work

Nori,

not a bad start you've got there! One thing I usually do to try and push my skills with images like this is force in some strong contrast and then work with it. Like the water, trees, and leaves for instance. I dunno that seems to always help me out, so I guess I'm suggesting that.

Very nice Nori, kinda atmospheric. but it looks like there is a big space to be filled with something.
