Nice drawing..it would be best you carry on with this yourself.
Look at the tutorial on Dhabih's main page, http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/mainscreen.html
He has a great tutorial that covers what your looking for.
Hope that helps.

Some Tips:
first lay down the base color for each part of the picture(preferably on a new layer).
Skin for instance pink. Then (on another new layer) start to make the shading with darker colors that the base color. You'll get some kind of comic look then.
Its getting more realistic maybe if u use the airbrush with low pressure
or the dodge / burn tool for shading.
I guess someone here could help you better than me 'cause I suck at shading.
Tip: use the SEARCH tool for a thread called coloring or comic coloring or the like.. there has been some stuff about that recently.

First, create a new layer over the image, and use a thin black brush to create a solid outline. Make sure you uncheck size and opacity. Just use the brush to overline the basic outline, with no shading or details. Just an outline. Now, you can either hide the layer with the sketch or delete it altogether. Create a new layer on top of the outline layer, and set it to Multiply (there's a drop-down menu in the Layers window that says Normal... change it to Multiply). Now, use a big brush to paint in the image. You can paint right on top of the outline, and the black lines will still show through. I suggest using a separate Multiply layer for each area you paint, so it's easier to fiddle with them later. Once the drawing is colored in with solid colors, you can dodge-n-burn to create shading, or, alternatively, you can use the airbrush. Or even the paintbrush. When you're done, either remove the outline layer completely and clean the image up with the paintbrush, or just use the smudge tool to manually eliminate the black outline. |

Well, that's all part of the process. It'll probably look kind of comicky (?) at these early stages, but when you shade it in and start cleaning up the outline, it'll look more realistic. Just look at Dhab's in-progress step:
And you've probably seen how awesome that pic came out. |

Nice drawing Hamster!
The pointers given above will get you going on the right track -- there is no one goos way to color a sketch, do it the way you want -- however, using the multiply method, your black lines remain, unless you paint in multiply, then when you're satisfied, turn in back to 100% opaque normal, unless you want to have a cartoon effect with the outlines.
I think you'll get yourself a little sick drawing all the details the ground level which you have not yet drawn. -- My suggestion if you're lazy... do quick details, but fog it to death. =)
Have fun!
frost.
