since i don't can afford this "hi-tech" boards (!!) i do some sketches on plain A3 paper! i took a photo of the image with a digital camera so the quality isn't the best... and sorry for the long download time.

this is a sketch i did from a capture from the movie "Romeo & Juliet".
you can find the orginal capture clip here: http://user.tninet.se/~eej850l/jshoot.jpg

please tell me what you think, and if you think there is something i could do with it so that it could look better (even if it's only a sketch...) cuase i'm not a pro like you see!!

Wheeee! I like it !
And since I do alot of my stuff based on reference, I'd say don't listen to hurricane. Do your stuff based on reference, if you like. It's the best way to learn to draw, i think. ( Or at least a very good one. )

I agree with Klaivu, drawing or painting from a reference, especially a live model, is the best way to learn not only how to draw but the finer points of things like anatomy, proportions, and how light falls on surfaces.

Also, I don't want to sound like a bitch, but if you have any sort of photo editing software, it is REALLY easy to make a picture smaller. Next time you should cut down the image to at least 1/8 of the 471 k that the image currently is.

Hm... On the other hand, you can only go so far with reference, and it will not teach you originality. I think originality is more important than technique. I guess it's another one of those balance-things.

...close your eyes and imagine the pic you want to draw...imagine HARD! Then draw with your eyes half open...

BTW, some mushrooms will help a LOT!
You can get them very easily in Amsterdam...
