| I'm wonder who likes what better. The Gimp or Photoshop. Anyone have experience with both and know some of the main differences? |

| I loathe The Gimp. It's got a confusing interface, and it's definitely harder to use than PS. It doesn't allow you to do nearly as much. It's mainly intended for Linux users who have few other alternatives, but for the Windows crowd, there are much better programs available, such as Photoshop. |

| i used to use gimp alot when i was on linux...i dont find it all that confusing in my opinion... but under windows it is 1000 times slower then photoshop is for me (im on a p75) but it has alot of the same features as photoshop and a few more, they each has their own advantages and disadvantages. i like gimp because it is free and updated very often... every time i go to the page there is usually an update. its disadvantage is that it is very unstable under windows compaired to photoshop. and it is a clutter on a small desktop. and till a great digital artist comes along that uses gimp.. it will be looked down on and "loathed" by digital artist |

i have yet to see good stuff made with gimp.
gimp is a photoshop clone. it's lacking. it is slower to use. it is so less efficient.
sure, all the linux zealot's will go "SOON GIMP WILL BE BETTER THAN PHOTOSHOP!!!1", but uh... hello, wake up to the fact that photoshop still is better all around than gimp.
yeah, it's free, and it shows.
mark my words, you will be better off with ms paint/powwow than gimp. (i've actually proven that already, so..)
some build of the win32 gimp port said it the best, "the road to stability" = it's still far far far from being decent in every sense, and the fact that the "road to stability" splash screen gave a Illegal Operation and crashed alot of stuff with it..
i hate gimp. i don't just dislike it, but i hate it. even more so because most linux users tend to fall to the cathegory of people who go "windows suxx *nix roxxx photoshop suxxx gimp roxxx" "why does win suck and gimp rock?" "err... um... 'cause bill gates is gay!" the moment they realize they have a windows user among their own/around them.
sad, so sad. GIMP MUST DIE! i nuke gimp!
