Hey i jus started using greyscale this week but so far i havnt been able to colour it well
i know the your supposed to do the layer/colour
or overlay thing but it just doesnt seem to come out right

i know that there will need to be more detail etc but i cant seem to get the base colout looking well
any help would be great

i'm in a hurry but i'll try to explain this in a nutshell (i haven't actually looked at the image)
when you draw grayscale, and color it with a new layer, set it to 'color' (duh)
now you see that the 100% white areas get fucked hardcore, and with much logic and overuse of mental capacities, you figure out that in the layer that contains the actual colors and that is set to 'colorize' layer mode, you erase the color from the white areas
and so forth
figure out the rest yourself it's not that difficult
and what comes to the fact that the colors don't look good to you yourself..... why did you color it that way then? nobody can do anything about the fact that you draw something you don't like
you see, people always whine that something looks like shit... they should learn that they look like shit 'cause they draw them to look like shit, it's just a matter of drawing them to not to look like shit.
i do that mistake myself as well, mind you..
