I am working on this piece right now in photoshop...it is the first thing that I have ever really tried to do besides screwing around in PS. There is a pencil sketch overlay so please mentally remove that. I know the knee is a bit tweaked, I'm mainly looking for criticism on the shading etc.

Well, on the thigh it looks like you spent most of the time shading the muscles and basically forgot to take into account the shape of the thigh as a whole... In other words, looks a bit flat, but that shouldn't be too hard to fix. |

faust : well, in pupular culture, they are. They started off as giant pig men, so they were upright, walking brown/pink pigmen with fangs. Very dumb. Axe was favourite weapon. no armour, just animal skins. Tolkien, the SOURCE of most of fantasy's inspiration nowadays, made them corrupted elves ; like men, but stooped over, fanged, pointy-eared, ugly as sin, and dark dark green or black. They wore armour and had a special affinity with giant wolves called Wargs, who they would ride to war. recent additions in fantasy fare, Warhammer and Warcraft being the prime examples, have imprinted the image of burly green men-like creatures. And I really ranted here, so don't mind the lack of continuity |
