Hey all. Well, I'm on spring vacation, and I'm in a hotel room in Connecticut with a little laptop. Although the trip has been relaxing, I find I get rather bored. Because of this, I have compiled the following list of helpful articles to help aspiring artists (and even pros) develop some great techniques. They are listed in no specific order.

Radiosity: This article is from Siggraph 1993, and although it deals mainly with rendering, it has some helpful information for creating extremely realistic environments in painting, etc.

Refraction

Atmospheric Perspective

Figure Drawing

General Drawing/Painting Techniques and Hints: The below website has some of the best tips I have read for drawing and painting fundamentals on any website. I think it is a wonderful resource for artists.

Light and Color: These are lectures given by a David Alexander and John Cary, and is very helpful, technically, in understanding color and light.

Thanks Stollin
It's nice to see someone offering unsolicited help. It really brightens up the mood around here, makes the forum seem a little friendlier. Especially after all the crap pops up when someone posts a pic that may not be enirely original.

Well, I'm bored again today. Anyways, I've been doing a lot of thinking, and I was thinking about having a listing of artistic resources that someone could post somewhere (as you can see, I haven't thought that much about it). Now, I'm not talking about tutorials; I'm talking more along the lines of actual lectures/lessons about art fundamentals.

Now, I don't think it would be very nice to take the job away from Mr. Mullins, although I think Craig explains things better than anyone else I've ever met. Anyways, just a suggestion. It could help people just getting into art learn a great deal without having to buy art classes, etc.

I dunno, I'm just rambling because I'm tired.

Ah well, tell me if you want any more links to other art resources, etc, because I have a whole day of boredom tomorrow.

See ya'll later.
