Hi!
I'm all new to this stuff and therefore i would greatly appreciate some help on this. Mainly some tips about sketching (as the topic implies), techniques, basics etc.
I would love if you guys could help me with this tiny little problem, because i really want to learn how to draw. Yeserday i drew my first sketch (well not first, but "best") and i will post it shortly.
What I most of all would like to get help with, is shading.
Thanx in advance

Hi b0bb0
Try searching the forum for answers....
I wrote this reply to a similar question yesterday...
These are my preferences in Photoshop:
For a smooth linedrawing I use the Paintbrush at 2 pixels with smoothing,
this works much like a 2B pencil.
Vary the pressure with your pen and adjust opacity with the numeric keypad if necessary.
For shading I find that using the paintbrush at about 20% opacity and layering my strokes produce much better results than with burn/dodge.
I use burn/dodge for hard lighting and shadowing....
Play around and have fun...
Look at some of the posts from the people on this board... and much knowledge shall be yours.
