Damn.. does it suck that bad?

no it doesnt. i think it looks cool, but theres just not a whole lot to it. to me it look like an eye. im guessing thats what you ment it to be. now if you could just do the rest of the face.

its a good start. i like the lighting and shadows. very well done

it's nice but pupiless,. it appears to be missing a blue and green channel, and had the lighting filter used,.

don't get me wrong it is a nice start to an image, it's like a bird with no feathers,.

lacking volume,. if you know what i mean,.

Um... a little background info I guess is needed.

1) This is all freehand.. no filters used, except blur. (highlights were done by hand, using Dodge/Burn/Overlay)

2) Um.. ya.. hehe.. I know.. it's not at all a complete image.. it's just the first thing I doodled.. and wanted to share =)

3) I'm thinking of doing a whole face, now that I understand how everything works (seriously.. I haven't really used my tablet much at all so far.. I'm w4y N00b33)

4) It's sort of an idea about making a Demon-type creature.. so I was kinda thinking of leaving the eyes just bright,glowy red... to simulate... ermm.. uhhh.. you know, Demon eyes! ;p (It is also very purposefully red)

-Do the highlights look good?
-Should I try to use more shadows?
-It doesn't use human anatomy.. but does it make you believe that it could blink?
-um... should I just give up now?

I think it's REALLY good. Since it's not part of a whole face just yet, it's hard to telll that it's an eye, but seeing two of those on a face would look perfect. The lighting/shading is AWESOME.

I think it looks good. However, I don't think it's a good idea to start drawing a huge picture of a demon, starting just by having one eye... that of course is just a personal oppinion (backed up by many others I'm sure)=)

Hey gang! Just wanted to say hello, and post something I just whipped up. I've been reading the posts here for quite a bit, but finally got around to registering ;p. Welp.. here goes..
This is my first actual "drawing" that I've used my new tablet for. I'd only used it for touch up work since I bought it.. and was finally inspired enough to doodle something. It's still very much a work in progress (hell.. it's only one eye ;p), but I wanted to post it, and get some feedback on what y'all like about it, and what I could do to make it better.
Please.. be gentle ;p
