Lo peeps this is my first post, just wondered if you could gimmie your opinions on a logo i did for a clan in the uk. I was asked to do something with a q3a theme and keep it blue (so quad damage sprung to mind,)
they wanted an atmospheric look of some sort. http://www.happychaps.com/wtf/

Image was created in Photoshop 5 in 1.5 hours using mouse. I wasnt responsible for
the page just the logo. Gimmie ur opinions

I really like it. It's definately very cool. I like the use of the scan lines, the only problem is they tend to blur or subdue some of the important aspects of the logo- I'd recommend you make the WTF and quake logo a bit more prominent so they stand out a bit more. Right now, everything is stuck in the same tonal range, there's no really dark areas, and no very light areas(besides the horizon). You need to bring up the contrast.
Hey, that's just what i thought, but again, I really do like that image, I just think it can be improved.

yeah i see what you mean, ive upload seperate version with some alterations to the contrast and brightness, its always a problem when creating digital graphics, you never know how dark or bright peoples monitors are set, so i usualy aim to create work that looks satisfactory on both extremes.

also i dont actually have a huge ammount of work to show since im so lazy and never get anything finished however im working on something at the moment which should be finished in a few days...

yeah, yeah. i like that. but again, the WTF needs to be more prominent. maybe delete the scan lines where the letters are.
