I know there are some Christians on this forum from basic observation. I think religion is pretty interesting and some of it is good. So what beliefs do you subscribe to?

Myself, I am still searching. I basicly follow the saying "Live and let live" - so everyone can live in peace and harmony with as little suffering as possible. I label myself a Buddhist/Christian/Atheist because I follow certain parts of each of those beliefs. I think any religion is good as long as it doesn't cause anyone sadness, anger or hate. What are your beliefs ?

ok, i dont have religion. i am not part of one. i am not godless though. but god is not a certain being. heaven is right inside yourself. bliss is god. to get god(or to get bliss) you must "experience" yourself. most religions talk about getting to know god. that is only half the story. you ARE god. i AM god. We are ALL god. we are all connected.(no im not preaching a religion, im telling about spirituality and love and light and wisdom.)

religion screws things up! what is wrong to them, god would never say it was wrong, since he gave it to us, and that we are god in the first place. so why deny things like alcohol,eating meat,sex,any kind of pleasure(old muslim) and self grattification? you need to not just know who you are, but experience who you are! stop saying your a mynewt(i cant spell it ) being, cause you are SO much more than that speck! you are part of god!.

why are we born into sin?,(the bible,wich i do not follow, doesnt say that anywhere) but still made in gods image?(as the the bible says) is religion trying to say that god is evil? thats exactly what that statement just said, and religions use that as a reason to convert....not very smart. did u know that the cotholic church is the second richest COMPANY in the world(right under bill g.)
yes, they are a company, not a non-profit orgonization. i know people(personally)that have been asked to work for the "non-profit" catholic church for a salary of 25,000 a month....that is just how i run my non-profit orgs.

religion isnt what you need. why do you need someone else dictating your path to god? you can get there on your own! if you dont find that an easy task, think of it this way: what did i say at the beginning? "you are god, i am god..etc" basically, to know god, all you have to do is experience yourself and live a good life with your others around you! so simple!

hopefully your open to this, cause it does kill all that you know(no, i do not endorse killing, cause that is in the hands of no one, not even you/god. its just being a meanie. but i do like Quake 3:arena!!

Woooops, pardon me. I have the art forum bookmarked and the fact that there is a random musings forum slipped out of my mind, please accept my apologies. Now that this thread is already here, can we continue the discussion or cease it right here?

I agree with a lot of what you said, religion can be a very bad thing. I think everyones beliefs need to come from within, and not from a priest, monk or drunken swine. The reason why I don't think much of the bible is true is because of the burning in hell forever stuff - pure Christianity seems too "black and white" for me.

I don't know. It's possible to get some good discussions out of religion threads, but with the way this forum has been, It's a bit of a risky thing to do...

Nononono.. all religions are wrong! Its funny how i moved to this country and i have a girl in my school whos mom died a month ago and i remember she was all happy the next day (!) thats because people are so sure that there is "heaven" but there isnt! We're same as animals or insects, if you think there is heaven/hell, by your beliefs does it apply to insects and animals? Dont think so.. you think humans are any different? Wrong again, feel your back, you still have a tail bone at the end of your spine! We might be more advanced but we'll die all the same as flies or munkys (heheheh funny sheat) and if you wanna know whats "there" if not heaven? Ill tell you what, did you even sleep without dreams? Because thats exactly how you feel when you die, basically you dont feel at all! there is no you.
