Well I'm just new here and I joined this forum to discuss about digital art...and not fight with guys who have bad attitudes..so I won't post any pic till I get better or else Marius may begin firing up his big mouth (btw I liked the sketch by mongoose and I've been seeing the mongoose vs. marius fights)..Well I was gonna ask what is the paper the pros use when drawing their final work.... |

Well, I would have to say any illustration board for pencils (its all good, and its found at your local art store, play with some #27 board, you'll love it) and as for inking or marker color guides, they definitely would use Letraset marker layout paper, it's the best, and maintains true color, especially from pantone color markers.
Inking paper's a bit iffy though, but letraset is still great, and it's somewhat translucent so you can trace/ink with it.
Then well, im not sure what kind of paper comes out of the printer, when say something like a comic book gets printed...it's pretty thin paper obviously, but that's probably just to reduce costs.

2 - 3 ply bristol board with a smooth finish is what most comic artists (including myself), work on. It holds the ink very well, and colors stay pretty well too, though most colorist work on reduced images anyways. |
