Affected,

Why do you think it's your job to moderate this board? It's a free country, we can talk about whatever we want -- especially on a PUBLIC forum. I mean, you don't contribute enough to the Digital Art World to have a say in what constitutes proper discussion on the subject.

Perhapys it hurts your eyes to see another topic posted among 50 others? Does that extra line of text bother you?

Hmmm...this has a lot to do with digital art. Do you think that they just wave a magic wand and the graphics appear in front of them all put together and perfect like. NO!!! Digital artists do their best work in making games such as this. Making skins for Quake 3, digital art there, making levels, digital art involved there.

That thread was as a JOKE. Maybe you should pull your overly enlarged head out of your incredibly lose ass, and laugh once in a while.

You seem to have this superiority complex, and to tell you the truth, it is absolutely unjustified. People can talk about whatever the fuck they want -- who are you to dictate what people can say? Do you wear a big Swaztika on your shoulder too?

You'll notice pyco's post was not exactly serious, and thus neither was my reply. In fact, whenever I state my opinions, I usually embed some humour in there. I just prefer to make it hard to detect.

When did I say I am superior? I only asked, why post this here. There is a forum specifically for talking about games and anything not related to digital art.
I did not mean to offend, and I really do not see what you're getting so worked up about. And besides, I hardly think you can complain about having your freedom of speech restricted. We are all doing extremely well in comparison to a lot of people in this world.

Hmmmm...my post was mostly serious.

Who are you to decide if my post is serious???!?!?! So fuck off....!!!

Now, that comment was not serious. When I'm not serious, you will know it.. I don't use bad language when i'm serious.

First of all, letme tell ya that im sorry to create 'controversy' about was the post being serius or not, its just when I read over at shugashack.com tha Q3A will be released on the 3rd, I was so excited and incredibly adrenal'ized that I went over to IRC and told all my friends about this, emailed everyone I know, and, well, this forum is known of being 'kinda' cool , so I just posted it here just to share my happyness. heh
Anyway, I think Quake III: Arena _IS_ a game that will spawn TONS of artworks, just take a look at www.gamespy.com and search for 'Quake'. It will spit at you about 4oo-5oo artworks that were done since Quake came out. Besides, the amount of digital art that was put into Quake III: Arena is inmeasurable, just check out those models/skins/levels/etc. Comeon here man, the Quakes are one of a kind games, they inspired thousands of people to grab a pen and draw that cool figure/model they saw in the game. Even I, right now am working on a pic of Quake III, which I'll post when its finished.
A good example of Quake inspiring people, is Dhabih's very own gallery. He has about 4-5 Quake related artworks.
So dont tell me the game is not related to art. ITS VERY IS.

Allright, in that sense it does relate to digital art. but to this:
"Got questions about art technique, want feedback, or have a question for me? Click here. "
It doesn't, really. Not this thread (And some others as well) anyways. But really, it's not like I was pissed off or anything, I simply asked. So before this gets more out of hand, how about just letting it be?

Oh, sorry, I never thought of that. Damn. I see the light now. Someone please start a thread on, say, breakfast cereal, since those things sometimes have neat box designs, and they're probably designed on a computer.

:P

My post wasn't an attack on any person in particular, either, I just started to wonder about all the off-subject posts. So everythings just hunky-dory, right? Joy and happiness all around.

I HATE Quake! No matter who plays it or where, I think he's a jerk and lamer.

Everyone should feel ashamed when he plays Quake...it SUCKS!
It's SHIT, IT SUCKS!
