Here's your drawing:
I think I've seen that before in the Fathom Fan Art Gallery. Pretty cool pic. |

Pretty good, your style looks real familiar, do you submit to art pages often? Just wondering

Well, since the sketch isn't yours (Which, by the way, it would have been good to mention. I guess you forgot?) and you wanted critique on the colouring, that's what you'll get.
You should have actually coloured it, not just tinted the shapes... Coloured pencil sketches don't really work.

anyways.... it is a good sketch whoever did it.
But the coloring sucks cuz it hurts my eyes. it is too light, and you have no real shading. Its all the pencil. |

dood, why in the hell would you jack someone's drawing, put some lame ass vivid colors in it, and call it your own?????
That's not kewl, dood!
Anyway, if you wanna become the next JD Smith, I suggest that you start coloring on the computer. Pencils just don't do it anymore bro.
And for God's sake, erase that "my artwork" crap off your page, cuz it's not your artwork! |

no kidding shrimish, kcuf off. coloring is still an art and he made it quite clear on his page that the initial sketch wasnt his.
i think the color choices were great tho. some shading and a bit more crispness would help a lot. |

Yeah guys, take it easy. Anyways, here are some suggestions: I like the blur you added for the window, while the people are sharper.
I think you should increse the blur and make them sharper, to add even more contrast.
As someone said before, you haven't really shaded the colors, you've only added a flat layer of color. you should do that, but keep the image bright. The picture look very much "sketch". And to get rid of this (if it's not what you want), and to make it more "your own picture", I suggest that you make the sketchy lines very bright/low opacity, and just use them as guide lines for you own ideas. Good work though. Keep it up. |
