Very nice, better than the trailers, gives me a NIN video vibe at the same time. |

for me, The ring is not that scary.
u guys should Check out 'The eye' its a japanese ghost story , original story from thailand. said to be a real story. (then again all these stories are said to be real stories arent they ?)
but yeah, The Eye is said to be a real story from thailand.
about this woman whos blind, and she had an eye transplant.
But the eye was from this guy who was believed to have a 'third eye'.( theres a long history about the 'third eye' in asian culture. im too lazy to type it out.)
ANYWAY this guy can see spirits, demons, ghosts, the things that are around us all the time, though we do not see them. He can see them all.
You can roughly guess what happened when the woman's eye transplant was succesfully completed.... very scary stuff she sees. |

I think the "eye transplant" part immediately disqualifies this story from being a real life story

LOL , yeah i think so too ... but i think it was a cornea transplant. Doesnt make it more believable, but i -think- thats what it was.
I never believed that it was from an real story anyway. i think it was just an advertising gimmick.
Since we're on the subject. anyone have any ghost stories to tell ? ....
saw anything lately ?
heard anything weird ?
did someone tap you on the shoulder that same night when no-one else was in the house ?
someone passed away, and you thought you saw that same someone using the toilet late one night ?
how about that floating head you thought you saw in the corner of your room when the lights went out.
And what about that limbless, headless human torso that seems to always occupy your living room couch when you're on your way to get a midnight snak ?
and that grinning old woman with empty eye-sockets just outside your second floor window ?
that woman with long jet-black hair, and white robe stained with blood, hanging by her neck, in the middle of your hallway when you've just came out of the bathroom who seems to sway in the breeze when there is none !? oh yah .. i remember her.
...
freaking myself out. gotta stop ..... |

My brother in Japan sent me "Ringu", "Ringu 2" and "Rasen", the whole 'The Ring' series about 2~3 years ago on VHS. Needless to say, the japanese versions were so scary. I was going to go see "The Ring" to see how different it is from the Japanese version. It looks pretty good, but I might babble on about how stupid it is because of any changes they made from the original movie.... but change is usually good. I still think the japanese version was scary, I cringe when I think about certain parts of the movie. |

Supernatural, aliens, ghosts, squeaky doors and so on is not scary, it's sometimes fun, like The Lord Of The Rings, but usually just moronic, like Resident Evil or Blade (& Blade 2).
It is funniest when the directors make people go backwards into dark areas. I sometimes scare the crap out of my whife when I just burst out laughing a second BEFORE the eeeeevvviiiilll BoooooGy-Man predictably appears out of the dark.
Scary is when real people think Gods are talking to them, and they want to tell you about this ... and actually let them broadcast this on TV ... Reality scares the crap out of me ...
Portrayal of something nasty that could actually happen is just so much more scary than cockroaches mutating into vampires or whatever ... The Hannibal Lecter shows have been kinda cool ... |

Anyone see the Evil Dead series? Damn those were entertaining 'horror' movie, my stomach hurt so much after that cause it was just so damn funny.
Oh something's making noise outside, even though so&so has been brutally mutilated by some unknown force, I have to go check out that noise.. Man what are these director's thinking? |
