anyone like SOAD? I thought toxicity was pretty good.
anyway, I just downloaded some pre-master version of what seems to be an upcoming album and it smells terrible. everything i liked about them, their creativity, independence bla bla bla - is nullified as this sounds exactly like toxicity, really, in that everything that was original and quirky about their voice and stylings before is made an instant cliche here. I would have hoped for better for their own sakes. ah well |

Toxicity was already a self-parody. Their self-titled one was ok but nothing to get excited about.
edit: Shizo, I thought they were from somewhere near the Mediterranean. Am I just being gullible?

Toxicity sounds like one long annoying song that never ends...
Track distinguishability is almost zero. |

That's also what I heard, Nimr0d. And they're okay, I guess. Much better metal out there. |

Armenian then they are, i wasn't sure what it's called in English hehe.
Some names of countries sound different in English. Where is Georgia then? |

Why are the members of the band always shown so much in music videos? Like in "Arials(sp?)", where they show the weird alien kid half the time and the other half is devoted to shots of the lead singer guy bouncing around with his eyes closed like he's singing about something incredibly deep. It's so contrived. |

yep in that same video there's a scene with the alien hanging out with rappers or somethhing and a car with hydraulics going up and down. total irrelevancy award goes to that scene. I mean it's so sad that whatever goes on MTV must be produced along a certain set of prefab features to the point that we have a bouncing ghetto-mobile in a system of a down video. |
