hey all,

Presto Studios is no more. Their message they'd like to relay to the world is that developers are not being paid what they are worth. They've been around for 11 years.

Anyway, I am seeking employment. Please do not hesitate to email [email protected] if you can lend a hand or have a lead, or just wanna plain hire me I'm most interested in the gaming field around southern california. Thanks!!

I agree, the consensus seems to be that developers are getting quite a shaft these days.

I have to say that in my early days of gaming, I was hooked on presto's The Journeyman Project, one of the first games I even played. It's a shame to see them go.

Good luck on finding new employment.

Game dev sucks in many ways. Good luck in finding a new place to work at Dan. And don't ever forget that you are an incredibly talented individual in humoristic animation.

Would you be completely aversed to coming to the UK?

There's some good software houses based here, like lionhead, DMA design, Gremlin (Germany, perhaps?), Electronic Arts, etc.

Ubi Soft(Montreal/Quebec)
Microids(Montreal/Quebec)
Digital Extremes (London/Ontario)

don't think there's much more than that... is there?

Bioware in edmonton.

If they did another game like MDK2 i could see how synj's chops would fit the bill perfectly. They use 3dsmax, too.

edit: oh, and sorry to here about the loss :[ that fucking licks nut. for everyone, really.

Frost yeah.. Im not sure of too many others... Icannon mentioned BioWare.. and there are rumors that EA is expanding its sport games division to another BC city (Kelowna maybe?)

Im sure BioWare would be right up synj's alley.

Good Luck finding a new position Synj.
