Yesterday I tried to catch a baseball with no glove very stupid.
anyways....it hit my middle finger of my right hand.
guess which hand I draw with...
anyways... 3 weeks of fingers being taped together.
good news is its not a compound or hairline fracture.. just a nice clean break. I thought it was just sprained yesterday but when I went to the clinic today he said it was busted.
its not fair.

noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! That is the worst ever!
Maybe it will heal with special powers you know? like that kid that could throw the baseball REALLY fast after he broke his arm. I swear that movie was based off a true story.
Good luck anyhow. May you heal quick

I draw telepathically through other people.
Half of the work here is mine, too bad I've lost another host body to draw through.
I need to sleep more. |

Argh...too bad man.
At the same time this can be a good opportunity to explore something totally different. Writing, photography, pornography.
I guess I am just trying to say that you can turn this into something good. |

Use this time to learn to draw with your left hand. |

actually I drew with my "wrong" hand a few weeks ago in a life drawing class, we were just having a fun little excercise. I was surprised how decent my work still was, even though I used my wrong hand. It's fun to try to say the least, although I've never really tried in on small paper, I was using big sheets of newsprint |

"Writing, photography, pornography."
Those would also be hard without your hand |

I broke my right wrist about six years ago (I too draw with my right hand), but I drew anyway, even with my cast on.
I was a LOT slower, but I just couldn't go 8 weeks without drawing. Eventually I got used to it, and it felt strange drawing for the first time with the cast off.
I'm an art geek. |

why would it be good news that it is not a hairline fracture.
a clean break vs hairline
i rather have a hairline fracture...but maybe thats just me.
i used to brake my fingers all the time skating...i feel your pain. |

Ugh... poor you =( I'm terrified of having my hands hurt somehow. That's the worst.
I'd take a broken foot over a broken hand (especially the right one) any day of the week.
I hope it heals well, and that you feel better soon. |

Don't forget to excercise when your arm and finger gets better. Joints can stiffen really quickly. Excercising under warm water helps your tight muscles to relax. (Ask your doc about it.) I didn't know that when I broke my pinky. Now I can't bend it all the way to my palm without feeling pain in the second joint. (I'm right-handed and the bad joint is on my left hand so that's not a big problem.)
Hope you get better soon. |

Awww, sorry to hear that awe! I hope it gets better fast and you dont have much pain.
I never broke myself anything in my life(didnt break anyone else something too ), so I dont really know how much of a pain it is. Normally Id say "Itll all be ok till ya marry", but Im not so sure about that in your case |

thanx all.
I got a phone call from my doctors office this morning saying they got the X-ray report and that I should come in. SO i went and the doctor told me that a chunk of my bone broke off... sorta but the chunk is sitting in the right spot.
anyways... another week off work it looks like. |

Did you get everyone to sign your cast?
have any beautiful girls kissed it?
This is the time to play dress up; make small clothes and faces for your cast.
Poke people in the head.
go to a store holding your finger under your shirt and yell, "I've got a broken finger! Empty out the register!" and see if anyone notices what you said or if they're so conditioned that they assume you're carrying a weapon and do what you say.
Color your cast to look like a gigantic finger and go pick up chicks.
Camoflague the cast so no one can see it. |
