I think such thread is good idea to encourage artists to work with traditional media.

Post anything that has do with analog, everything except digital of course. Drawings are posted on other thread.

Myself, I tried work on digital at conservative way i.e. painting mostly rather than doing lots of tricks. Now I have tried traditional media recently, I learned much and still learning new things from that.

It means I dont worry how I do on digital when I know I have another media to train my basic skills on. It is not only training, it is fun also, different experience. A complete and separate process.

You have a brush, canvas and some blobs of colors. Thats all Smile

i thought why not work concept on oil.. not so expensive as i can always paint over once i scanned "finished". i love to waste oil. Twisted Evil

funny, it is hard find good light for oil painting to take photo of. I had use cooking area beneath lamp, same place as you cook something. good diffuse light, but the photo is blurry a bit though.

a quick oil painting on "butter paper" same material as you use on one time use paper easel.

You know I used to do a lot of butter paper paintings aswell, those comes cheap for sure. Good to experiment with.

quintus, thanks. I agree re that papper. very cheap. I also bought pigments so I could experiment forever without ruin me myself Very Happy how have you been lately? some cool 3d in your blog!

durgledeep, cool! Very Happy Still allergic for more analog? hehe

some oils a few months ago then lately experimented with spray cans on large canvas overlayed with paper. Fun!

broken, lol, no way to scan anything (even if I did). But u got me digging for old
