Super nice stuff, folks.
Lemur: Love that Egyptian setting. I read what you said about using patches of light on different planes to create depth. That really excited me, and you certainly put it to good use above with the harsh midground lighting and softer glow coming from behind the back right pillar. Lovely stuff!

lemur, love that egyptian scene.. you use sketchup right? :p I found out it recently. it looks as awesome tool. nice works
matthew, love your last works. beautiful with graphical abstract rendition
nide, love it
obier, I like where you are going in your works.
t_england, nice! mixed media is so fun. Im almost addicted to it
raytoh, crazy values!
other, great works
Got know recently that I got into painting program for 2 years. wooho. it means more time working on digital for here. After working with oil under the last month, I learned me some things that are nice to make use of in the digital.

Tomasis, you're very kind, hmm perhaps too kind since I suck badly lmao.
Oils are awesome, glazing can do wonderful magic in a canvas.
Nide, very nice
Got my photo album today and it was cool to see the speedies in a printed format, most of them are very small but I have some of the better ones in bigger size. I'm on a laptop so gotta keep in mind everytime that the result will be darker, works pretty close for me anyway though so all is good.

T_England-thanks! liking the mixed media you're doing
Munin-I'm glad you like the words that went with it! I looked at alot of interior art to try to understand lighting design, its really exciting seeing all the ways space can be shown. The pirate is cool, dig the costume
Tomasis-thankyou! yeah I'm trying to learn sketchup, I can make really simple block models, but thats really all I need right now anyways. Haven't really figured out how to make curvey stuff yet. the blue car is awesome btw.
Matthew-that planet one really strikes home for me, the way the figure is so tiny too. Sortof reminds me of John Harris with the mass, but a modern style.
A scene I saw in a lucid dream, sometimes you see stuff that you just wouldn't imagine otherwise, the people were so happy and the turtle ship launched into the air to fly over the ocean-

Lemur, yea I want tiny figures, have been looking for that Grand Scale thing lately. Sure is small things (changes) that suggests scale.
Revised version, I can't seem to get close to the vision I had with the piece.

Mon: Gorgeous animals.
Nide: Love the fish-like craft/bots
Quintus: Lovely stuff as usual. Would love to see you push the megastructure vibe.
Lemur: Incredible turtle funk. Your new Sketchup usage seems like a worthy partnership. I must get around to trying it out.
Nexam: I'm in love. That dark mid-ground slash of hills is really effective.

What an awesome page guys.
Munin, very kind, yea hopefully I can get a bit better with
mileage when it comes to big structures, seems like the key
is to find an abstract shape to work with firste. You really
are doing wonderful grass these
days, really neat piece. Keep up the good work.

Thanks guys, for the comment on the previous piece. A lot of great stuff. Loving it. James0102, Howie, Mon and Quintus just to name a few.
Lemur and Mon> The value is color pick from the photo. The thing i realise is, picking color and value straight may make the piece look dull. I try to look into adding small transition color and small shift of color variation to make it look slightly lively? Color and transition that exist in the photo but lost when we just pick the big colors and value. Some color and value can't be pick so if the eye is sensitive enough, we can add that in manually. Don't know if it make any sense. Texture too. I realise you don't have to paint in all the small details to make something look polish. It's all in the illusion if you can handle the other stuff nicely. Example like edges of the main objects in focus. I guess it's nothign new but just trying to fully understand some stuff.
Brain is kind of blank recently, so some random stuff that i have done before sleep.

well gwarsh, I'm glad you guys liked that sea turtle. Probly am going to start using the sketchup as more of a ref, or take some selection out of the model pic, cause trying to cover up the lines is bothersome and some of it still shows through, kinda gets on my nerves.
Munin-wow! haven't seen painterly style quite like that in some time, really letting the texture brush strokes stick out on their own. I love looking at work like this and trying to mentally dissect the layering of it.
Raytoh- I know what you mean. Its stuff you hear in theory from the time you start painting, but once you start learning it in practice it really opens your mind. Cool thing is theres always more to absorb in practice! its amazing!
Mon- awesome pig!
Tomasis- arr, I had pirates on me brain aswell

Seems like there is alot of different styles being represented lately, very "original" looking work from everyone, pleasure to watch!
