hey

im impressed at your rich details and I like your persistence.

I also comment for the forest paint in WIP .

one thing I noticed that it sometimes lacks info for midtones (i have same problem) What I mean, it is easy overwork concentrating on details when one shoud build slowly up the structure by light, composition. like sculpting a mold. Midtones can affect the image more than one thinks. With clever use of midtones one can make the picture exciting.

the best practice is to do speedpaintings, look over the progress what it can be done before finishing.

with speedies you could learn to vary light, do different experiments for material properties and see what happens. For example be aware of colors for different tones (for that forest pic looks mostly green when shadows should be more muted to name an example). Look outside and think why nature is made so. of course it is best understood if one makes studies Smile

it is just my few cents.

good luck. i like your works and look forward for newer ones, maybe I see you in speedpainting thread Smile

Hey Tomasis,

Thanks so much for the feedback and encouragement yeah I have this problem with values...If i can make it black and white I certainly find it tough to convert it into colors and for the colors..it never looks any good wen desaturated it lacks that contrast. I will be making loads of speed paintings to overcome this Very Happy I will be posting them on the speedpaint forum Smile

thanks so much for your comments xxx
