Snootchy - Cool. Dig all the bits and pieces.

Lemur - Like the spooky king piece.

Quintas - You always have some interesting compositions.

lemur, this image for you Smile light in your last piece is so nice!

snootchy thanks Smile , you can find my blog through www button below my post. I have another blog for scrap doodles, but it isnt updated much. Medicine? coool, can you find drugs for me so as tripping, I can paint better and beat steambot, hehe. I love your last piece. Feels so 3d dimensional.

lakka, what lovely painting.. you know really how create mood through colors. like your another piece in steampunk thread.

matthew thanks Smile last your one is so good ..just wow.. the rule is to follow your guts while breaking rules, lol

zupzup, like your guy and brushstrokes in the last piece Razz also your other works. I saw your video in the page. wow how good it'd feel to paint in such mighty landscape.

I like the the second one more. it feels more spontaneous.. i need learn more about blending with palette knive

thanks snootchy, ZUPZUP!

snootchy- I think the pieces look very cool,to crit I'd say the big one suffers in the perspective department and thats the cause for it looking busy, it looks like there are multiple eye-lines at work from the angles of the buildings. Chopping it up the way you did takes out the conflict.

CIRE- reminds me of 'lone wolf and cub' with the head chopping and all Cool

Zeromus- pewpewpew vroooom! Cool

Rinthe, ZM- I like these boating pics, i made one too, perhaps Rinthe's is the beginning of the story, mine is the middle and the ZM's is the conclusion lol

Ah Tomasis nearly missed you, caught you when i hit preview, thanks! I like both versions of your knight, artrage is cool isn't it?

Lemur, I think you are very good actually so I doubt I can give any advice to you now that I think about it, I remember I used to give some advice here back in the days when I discovered things that I thought was important.
Now I usually think that it is a process and not dead certain which direction to go either so advice is probably more for oneself than anything, whether we follow the advice or not one has to go down the road on ones own.

I usually break the rules and have questioned things all my life, I have suffered because of it too.
Keep up the good work. Smile

Tomasis, wow just wow, love that one too. Smile

Lakka, I love your stuff, awesome piece. Smile

30 minute scribble.
Now let's see if I can get som puzzle pieces down. 1000 to go. Smile

ohh so many great works...

Rinthe, I like the feel of that. I think the soft edges in the background in contrast to the foreground looks nice!

Tomasis - The simplificated form reads very well

snootchy, really cool works lately. The palettes are nice and earthly Smile

ZUPZUP - did you paint over acrylics on that reddish toned piece on the last page? looks awesome

CIRE - I envy your skill with the human character, it's very convincing.

ZM - I love water and ships, and all the more when I see them in a good painting Smile

Zeromus, haha, I can relate Very Happy Nice action in your piece

Lemur, as I said to ZM.... can't help but to love it Very Happy

free.ZE - the cardgame illu looks cool. The view and composition make for a nice piece!

Matthew - that's just brutal. Laughing

Howie, always have digged your colors, but with this one you really made them work well.

Basic saturday night... Embarassed

Thanks Lakka!...the image on the last page was sort of an abstract oil sketch that I pulled forms out to come up with an image.

Tomasis - Thanks! Yes I'm fortunate to live where I do. You would love painting in that backwoods area.

"The Shogun just stayed inside his castle...
...and he never came out.
People said his brain was infected by devils...

thanks guys!

the flowers are cool free.ZE

Matthew- the rules have always confused me, whether its a rule or "un-rule" (usually I make the unrules up) I get mentally trapped. I like how villpu said "there are no rules, only tools" and I like that way of thinking, so you can use a certain 'rule' if you want something visual that comes from that thought, but it is not any sort of authority on what is 'good'. I signed up to a forum called 'rational painting" took a look around, there were some rule worshippers in there, yikes! I think its mostly people who are uncomfortable with the subjective become rule worshippers.

CIRE-awesome, I read the first comic and it was great, and saw some of the tv show which was hilarious, the theme song will be in my head for ages lol. The shogun really looks evil in your sketch!

Nide- nice polar bear! I read an article they might last a bit longer than predicted because of dieting on goose eggs, the seasons line up or something.

just a life painting from this morning to post- I'm really wanting to learn good shape design aswell as getting the forms and mood. I'll look at the best paintings and no shape is exactly alike, its like the shapes are characters of their own. I don't know how some painters get so much variety in shapes, must be from going slow and steady. I need to relax and not be so impulsive while painting, plan each action
