Been experimenting with processes a lot. I think I found one that's pretty consistent for me, but this took too long.

Sparth: the atmosphere and scale is great in that image.

Selphoo, great... just a little suggestion, for defocused stuff try to use lens or box blur, it is more realistic than gaussian blur, hope it helps!
