Hello folks, long time i dont post anything here, but i came with two new paintings =)
Balance of Terror
Simple work, based on the Sorcery's gamebook series, called "The Seven Serpents" written by Steve Jackson (the third of four of this series) of 1985.
This scene depict many faces in the smoke when the prisioner recites a false poetry that makes him abandon their goddess, called "Mardabil Maneuver".
The Mirage
Fullsize for more details (1000 X 1286) here: http://images.deuxillustration.com/cdq/mirage/Mirage_full.jpg
This work was commissioned by an model. She wanted an representation of your own strenght. It was her idea, make four representarions of herself. To me, was very fun to make this work, study all scene. The women of this picture don't look like same. It's hard to do the same face in different positions without reference.
I hope you like!
Cheers

anatomy looks ok, but you might wanna study hands more i guess. there's a certain bony claw-like feel to them that clashes with the rest of the body. plus i think you should try other brushing techniques. like watch how you pull the brush strokes over the contours of the body. because it really adds to the rendering quality.
mleh, i'm no genius myself, just an opinion.
keep up the good work! |
