Matthew: Probably my mood right now, but had to say, I really dig your colour schemes Very Happy Almost monochrome, but not quite. I think it's a really good contrast, especially in that second last one. The subtle hue shifts add a lot as well. I'll stop rambling now.

really astonishing guys- paoo its great to see your dump, and a beautiful dump it is Smile

might retry this one with some more thought- kindof tried to paint over my head and this stuff requires some thought in the right direction

i realize now that the gesture of a painting lies in the silouettes of the big shapes, the rest is mood of the light-going to work on this more, the more interesting the big shapes, the better the small! Also thinking of what sargent said about classifying the values in these planes, painting is making some sense again!

Hi, I'm new here Smile I lurked here years ago, and signed up now.

Totally amazing work everyone! Jens, stylish!! Paoo, i love the way you render glossiness, texture, and lighting. Godzilla Was Matthew, the pic of the army guy is sweet, those desaturated war colors do well. Sicksicksick, czesc Wink, that looks really interesting, whatever it is..!

Ok, here's my first ever speedpaint, if it counts.. took me almost an hour.

Lovely work everyone.

Insane Lemur: You're really tweaking my secretion glands with those last two.

Godzilla Was Matthew: What happened to your name? Loving what you're doing lately. I really dig how you shape with just the round brush, so the added texture freaked me out in that last one... haha.

Speedie (x2 size) done on my trusty DS...

thanks munin, matthew

i tried some more brushing variety with this one, i'd like to know anyones ideas on this-seems to me like layers and layers of just trying new things and trying to visualize it beforehand, like a cool texture and what brush might match that...
