I painted this, but I think I like my B&W pencil version better. Without color it seems raw and unprocessed, a better foundation for individual contemplation. But you can see the color painted version at the bottom of my site, below the ideas behind the art.

actually I dont understand the expression on his face, it looks like he more drunk than in pain, sorry I shouldn't have commented that, I'm not professional artist so I cant say what needs work and what is done well, but I can cheer for you, keep up the good work.

That's funny. Someone else mentioned to me that it looks like he was kicked in the balls now that is really funny!

This is just my interpretation for this particular picture. I think that he was numb here and struggled to yell the words out - kind of like we do when we are drunk. But seriously, perhaps he had moved beyond the pain as people often do at the point of death. My thinking is that all the anguish occurred before and pain was NOT a huge factor at this point. According to the scripture he says MY GOD, MY GOD, WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME? Then he said, FATHER INTO YOUR HANDS I COMMEND MY SPIRIT. Then he gave up the spirit that is to say he died.

Peace
