me too, really nice! wasn't it hard to find the same lighting conditions of each new day? since it seems to be atmospheric light from the windows..
the bounce light or secondary light coming onto the top right 2 cubes (right one seems to be a red H) makes them feel quite far off from the white wall, and yet I get the feeling the wall is supposed to be close. If they are against that wall maybe add some shadows?

They are about 2 or 3 inches from the wall. The blocks are on a very dark IKEA book shelf with no backing. Light was coming through windows in the front and left side rear. That was my interest in how to make that light work.

i think that the back wall might look pushed a little further back with softer lines. it has a similar contrast level and edge sharpness as the blocks do... so it reads to my eye as being equivalent in importance and distance

How do you hand copy a drawing onto another piece of paper successfully?
I'd like to replicate a drawing of mine so I can edit it without ruining the original. But my attempts so far to do so have been unsuccessful. The original was done in No. 2 pencil.

I take the original drawing and scan it onto a piece of good art paper. Then I adhere the scan to a solid support like Masonite or GatorBoard (using YES glue), give it several coats of shellac, steel wooling between coats... and then start the painting.
Shellac is a very non-absorbent smooth surface. If you want a more absorbent, not so smooth surface, use acrylic matte medium to size the mounted paper.
When scanning, you can also change the size of your original drawing if needed.
