daaaaaaaaamn, I've never seen such a lineup of amazing works, I jumped to painting after I browsed the thread because this is a party that just can't be missed.
Haven't painted in a while (work), but have been drawing alot and have figured a few things out that have been bothering me (basically trying to think about what I'm doing as much as my feeble brain allows)

I cant help noticing some similarities between one of your figure studies
and work done here by Craig Mullins
is there any special reason for that ..or is it pure practice .. study of a scanned figure study  |

This is a slightly *cough* edited speedpaint that I did for the recent CGtalk Steampunk challenge. (The actual competition thread with the finished piece is here if anybody is interested: http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?f=278&t=713568)
Also, I so need to rant shortly about 2001: a Space Odyssey, which I just saw for the first time on the big screen. What a stunning movie with awesome visuals! I was glued to my seat for the whole duration of the movie.
