scottewen - thanks! the study was referenced from a screen grab off the tv show Merlin.
vyle - your last two almost look photographic in the way you manipulate textural quality and reflections. amazing.
EAD - dig the composition!
jama -fantastic!

Thanks dudes and dudets

jama> awesome!

brush9> Yeah, usually start with greys, then maybe throw in a colour balance layer or an overlay once I've got some values down, although I didn't bother much with colour on the last one, or this for that matter.

snootchy, very nice that head and the green monster. The ruins has some nice elements, at least some loose elements that I like to see in a speedy.

Mattyuk, btw yea you did good with your orange black paint above, very nice. very loose. Very Happy

Not really a speedpaint, just the culmination of having not done anything else all week due to a creative block.

Hopefully, I'm back to normal now. Very Happy

First ever speedy really. About 20 minutes work, started as some brush testing.

Great work everyone, look forward to posting more!

Well... as many of you before, I, as well, have been lurking around the forum for some time in a panic fear of posting anything with the likes of AjTron, Vyle, Mitsui, Pierrick, Andree Wallin and alll the rest of you wonderful people Very Happy

And tonight, in an act of complete and utter madness, sleep deprivation and god knows what else, I decided to officially join the gang Smile and post my speedy.
Its a lil homage to, as my friends would put it, -the prophet of modern ilustration and things to come - .. Craig Mullins

I'm new at this, and I've been doing it for 5-6 moths on and off because of uni... and so.. any comments and critiques are more than welcome Smile

sometimes thanks, yea i dig the loose strokes in ur sp's and i feel the same way as you just keep on painting what u feel is right, still trying to loosen up the strokes everything ends up too tight still
