So far I have spent about 12 hours on this painting. I figured that since I want to do a lot of conceptual art that I need to brush up on some conventional paintings via referencing. This is a picture of my friend.



So far the feedback from my friends is really good BUT I'm still new and would like to hear feedback from the community. Most of the time you guys are so helpful and the advice gives a boost of confidence and will to proceed onto bigger and better projects.

I'd say the details are great, but some of the proportions feel off to me. Maybe it's just his pose that throws me, but I think his upper body feels a little squished?
