A little project for school. Smile My trailer for the movie 'Stockholm Aftermath', a movie that of course doesn't exist. Everything is very basic stuff being put together in After effects, and I've borrowed some sounds from real trailers and real logotypes (maybe not such a smart idea) to make it more "believable". Anyway, I guess I posted it here cause it features some of my very first mattepaints (somewhat animated), though as I said.. very very basic. Enough talking:

That has come together nicely.

Watch the framing and lens choice on your 3D scenes. They don't have the real-world appearance of your matte scenes.

Man, I love this. Totally cool and professional. It even has some sort of suspense curve, which a lot of actual trailers lack nowadays.

Suma is right tho about your 3ds. They look really artificial compared with the mattes. In the first scene (room flyby), the frame is too sharp, there is not enough blur to fit in with the CNN-frames earlier. Also, the tint looks odd. Same goes for the dropships arriving in the city. The camera shake is fine and the interferences as well, but a little blur and overall a little LESS to see would have been nice. I loved looking at the impact. But the robot at the end wasn't my cup of tea. I'd leave it out actually.

Thank you guys!

I totally agree about the CG; 3D is not my cup of tea but since I'm studying 3D atm I had to incorporate some in the video to pass the assignment. Smile Anyway, glad you like it!

Real nice work, especially on the matt's ofc. Tho the 3d doesnt quite reach the same quality, it doesnt feel out of place either.

For crits, I think you focus too much on smoking buildings, gets kinda repetitive. You see alot of stuff trashed, buildings, trains etc., but zero people. Place is like a ghost town. Peoples reaction really helps descripe whats going on, and sell the whole "omfg-invadeeerrrrs-we-gonna-die".

Either way, solid work =D.
