I'm a child of 1980, but I have to admit that I don't feel very old.

Not at all, actually.

But that's perhaps because I've been a tired, sarcastic, bitter bastard since I was 17.

And I haven't graduated anything since elementary school.

1979, a fine year for bell bottom trousers and religious revolutions (though not necessarily combined).

Nov. 2nd 1980 here!

good ol 80's. i remember this one elementary school i used to go to when i lived in Edmonton. it was kindergarden through grade 9 if i remember correctly... of course at that time the older kids scared me. guys with black leather jackets and spikey hair and chains etc. real punks! not the wannabes of today. one guy even had a big mohawk. he scared me the most. (come on i was 5-8 years old!)

1980 - me too! me 2 !!!!1!

Great year, obviously. New Order was formed, Ronald Reagan was elected, and small pox was eradicated (ok, I looked that last one up).

By reading that list of happenings during 1980, one would say that was a pretty bad year...
Anyways, I've been born that year, too.
The eighties were a good period in my country. The nineties weren't...

Anyways, I don't feel too old. After having graduated from my high school I thought that my life would have changed much. It did, in fact, because University is something one couldn't imagine until she came into it. But it didn't make me feel old.

Andromeda, Born : 1980

You dont HAVE to feel old you know ...
just keep doing silly little useless things that you did when you was a kid.

Like sing to youself in the elevator, talk to the elevator, make it a point to smoke on a rainy day in november while staring out your window and blasting 'november rain' from your hi-fi, break into a swimming pool at 3am in the morning with your boots and jeans and t-shirt on, (did it three days ago hehehhehe)

Boom, June 23 1980.

Oingo Boingo released their first album. As such, it definitely gets my vote as being a Good Year.

Not here...well, not this citylet anyway. Those of us born in '88 are starting this year.

I feel like such a baby here.

Whoa Rat, I had no idea you were so young.

You're very mature for your age. Hell, I think you're more mature than I. :P

I guess this makes me the youngest here then..
well that should be obvious anyways.

Rats lucky, I have almost 3 years until I can drive.

As long as they don't put an age restriction on caffeine or that ambrosical guarana I'm fine though.

yeah, but I was kinda compensating for having to wait forever twice and all (apparently here its really easy to fail the drivers test the first time, something about pounding the need of safety into the brains of people taking the test) and your not allowed to actually drive on your own (that is not occompanied by someone 18 or older with a licessense and having only 2 otheres in the car) for a few months after.

I wouldn't feel bad about being the youngest here though... I'll live longer then most of you! hah!

A lot of you are pretty old...
