Set at Brush Presets Controls -> Shape Dynamics -> Angle Jitter Control to "Direction"

for the rotation to work you'll need a pen that supports that, namely the 6d art marker. I don't know if any others support it. Otherwise, the tip above is useful.

Well, I have the Intuos A3 (first) and it works perfect. So hopefully should work.

Hi,

I can't talk much about Photoshop, but in Corel Painter, we can only take advantage of Rotation Expression with a Wacom Intuos 3 tablet and 6D Art Pen (or 6D Art Marker).

Using this combination, Rotation allows us to roll the barrel of the pen in our fingers to make flat brush variants' brush dabs rotate while we paint, just as we might roll the barrel of a traditional paint brush for the same result.

It's a bit different from Angle control, used with many Painter brush variants, with Angle Expression set to one of several options, for instance, to Direction.

With the new Painter X RealBristle Brushes category, Angle control is not available and only Rotation Expression can be used to control the angle at which the brush dab is turned.

Direction works, but Rotation (will appear as soon as you have the art marker touching the tablet) is much smoother and precise.

Sorry to hijack the thread a second, but you guys with 6D art pen experience. Do you enjoy painting with it, and recommend it as an additional tool to the grip pen? Is it a big step up from the intuous 3 grip pen experience that I like already? Loving painter btw
