i got two questions about it.
1)how many are there for starters
2)if there are more than 28 which i somehow feel is the case where can i get them from

ive been on the net for the past few days and ive got this really fast connection of mine whcich is a treat to have here. so i started downloading episodes from neon genesis evangelion (in japanese, just to make sure that i dont understand a single word they say , but thank god with subtitles) which i only know from the manga's. anyway cut a long story short. i need to download the rest to see all of it, but i dunno where from, let alone if there are any more to download

I don't think there are any more episodes than those you've seen. Correct me if I'm wrong.

The only thing you might run into is a problem with the ending. The production company that made the series ran out of money before they could finish the final episode. If you watch it you will be very disappointed in that it's mostly a collection / jumble of flashbacks from other episodes and strange voice overs. Its confusing and not fun to watch at all.

The good news is that the series was a huge hit in Japan and they had more than enough cash to redo the final episode and......OMG.......it well worth the trouble of finding and watching. A word of warning though. You are in for a huge shock.

I've only seen that episode while living in Japan but I am sure that its around. Its contents are quite a bit more graphic than the rest of the Episodes so I think there was never an attempt to bring it over here formally.

get the dvd (i think it's everywhere isn't it?), it has the last few and the movie i think. totally depressing show though. i heard the cults loved it. the director of the show tried to commit suicide after he was done with it. how's that?

i watched the supposedly last episode with the flashbacks. it was ok, but it was really tedious to watch. then i watched the what appeared to be episode 28, it really just breaks your heart when he is playing in the sand. that was really really just sad. a very emotional part. then i watched one of the movies which appeared to be the whole story cut short into rediculously short bits, but now ive got the last movie to go. called end of evangelion. i cant wait. this has taken a really serious tone since the first few episodes. really really gripping.

@ jr it is a truly depressing story. i think deep down there has to be something true about it (the bits about being alone and all the philosophy, not the robots) i was thinking about it all night (literally. i couldnt get an eye closed). maybe thats what the director realised. poor dude.

I'm very envious of you and your very fast connection. Damn it.

Been wanting to get Eva for a while, especially the Death and Rebirth alternate ending (that was your "quick cut" version, doesn't hit US retail until late July), but it's way goddamn expensive. More than it has right to be, classic or not.

Glad to hear you liked it.

Now steal Cowboy Bebop. Best goddamned show, ever. Holy Christ. ^_^

Cowboy beebop, EVA... I got those on dvd! If you like depressing anime you should really check out Grave of the fireflies. It's so sad i've only watched it once even though I have it on dvd. Man... depressing stuff.

the ones round kazaa worked fine for me. theyve got sound, but theyre all in japanese. still. if ur gonna get it, make sure you watch them in order if you havent already done so. so you see how the story builds up and develops.

End of Evangelion has been my inspiration in art since I first saw it, last year. It's singularly the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. But maybe it's not a good thing to watch if you don't want your life to become more complicated.

i thought it was very inspiring too. its all you dont get from a normal movie. its you know how movies are predictable, the gud guys always win in the end. there there isnt a good or bad guy. also the whole world goes pearshaped, which is rather unexpected
