AWESOME. I think the highlight on the back of his head is a little too dominant, but otherwise great job.

Do you mean as in too bright? or too much white?

I think the brightness is pulling my eye away from the faces and toward that corner

Great changes, I like the last one.
Like the change to the brick, that white edge needed to go.

This is it. I am approaching the point of diminishing return and I've added my final touches. I'm pretty proud of this piece where it's at and I appreciate eveyones input. You were all great and thanks to everyone for being so generous with your time.

So, here it is...

Now, on to my next piece.

N-I-C-E bro! I know you said you're done with it but I wanted to add my two-cents anyway. All in all, excellent and by the last image I don't really have much criticism to say that doesn't boil down to individual preference or style. Comparing the last two images you posted I think either of them can work, but it all depends on where you want the viewer to focus their attention. In the second to last with the more dominant highlights off of Batman I found my eyes paying more attention to him - nothing wrong with that approach. However with the last image with the more subdued highlights and more intensity on the light of the cigarette, that's where my focus was drawn. And I've got to say, that's definitely the one I like more... has more "oomph" to it.

So I guess I wasn't really offering any "criticism" per-se, rather just some points on technique from my own experience. High lights are great at drawing attention to specific areas and at balancing out an image. Blah blah blah Very Happy

Awesome work NotBB, I'm looking forward to your next piece.

Thanks so much BREW. You were able to identify the focus I was always intending even if it took a few versions.

Working in color is just one of those things I never worked in and sometimes I have to learn things the hard way, by doing and letting others crit and point me in the right direction. Hopefully, I will continue to grow and improve as I go along.

Thanks again for that crit.
