Nice, although I don't think you should let the sky clip out to pure white like that. It looks over-exposed. I'd put a little color/value variation in there.

yep ballistic, I left the pure white sky to get a "breathe" in the picture (too afraid to make an "over composed picture", once again)..

and (in fact, I don't really know..) but the over-exposition may be right, if we can perfectly see what's in the left side (that is supposed to be darker..)

Don't know if I'm really clear, sorry for my poor english Embarassed

I'm kinda with balistic on this one. I like the feel of most of the picture, but the washed out sky gives me the feel of a poorly-taken digital photograph. That's just my reaction anyway.

I think the whole part on the right side of this painting is beautiful. Looks almost like watercolor as the left part has a more digital look. Kind of splits the image apart imho. Stil a nice approach!

when Andy pointed about one artist called Steve Hanks from artrenewal.org, I looked at his works and his painting style which remind me of this current one here thats why it is nothing wrong to have the mind more open and leave some highlights or shadows clipped so long midtones exist! Thankfully that i'm not ultra extreme conservative close-minded traditionalist (or whatever) guy who have to get everything right based on rules lol Very Happy At other way, you cannt get that much DR with any digital camera even it was properly exposed !

The right side is a little blinding, but it feels less like overexposure to me and more like what you actually see when the sun beats down like that. Like how everything seems brilliant white when you first come outside and have to squint a little... So in this case I think it works, it really puts me into the image and makes me feel like I'm there. Especially in contrast to the shady area on the left, I think that were you really standing there, the sunlight just might appear that bright.
