Well, I figure - why not? Half of you have probably seen this at CGsociety or CA.org or DeviantArt but the more eyes that see and can give me crits, the better I say
This is of course from Fellowship of the Ring, but I flipped the canvas for reference. I painted it all in Photoshop, roughly 6 hours or so with my tablet.
Any and all crits would be most welcome.

very nice, soothing image, that captures the feeling of the opening of the first movie.
The right side of the image tho looks a bit flat, and unfinished. I understand you're concentraiting the details on the focus point, but a large forest like that should have a greater depth, in my opinion. that bush highlight on the left side is really nice, I'd like to see more of the same throughout the image. |
