I've learned so much from seeing everyone's work here, I had to start participating here. Been a long time lurker.

I'm definately trying to keep it loose and use more texture in my paintings. I definately try to use all my traditional, painting, and photography techniques to craft these speed paintings.

After doing some quick value sketching in painter, I took it into photoshop and applied my photography image editing techniques to bring the piece to life. Basic color and contrast adjustments, as well as some sharpening and softening of the overall image.

annisahmad: hehe, I see we used some of the same tricks. What size do you do these paintings with? cause I have huge problems with getting a big enough blurry enough brush for those big almost gradient like shadings on larger images, so I start out with dinky little canvases first....

Nice works all around!

is the cowboy sitting on the horse, or standing beside it? it feels good to paint with bigger brushes though, something ive neglected in the past.

Thanks alot choboroy, annisahmad, dot!

Briscola whoa thats one helluva cool car. Nice sense of speed.
Lingy-> cool design but the picture itself looks flat. Too similar values on the ship and background IMO.

Very quick cliche alien sketch.
