Thanks everybody for the kind words.
Shocked Spooge Demon !! I love the way you paint the daylight. I found it very difficult compared to the night scenes. Thanks for sharing and thanks for the motivation and inspiration your work is giving.
Thank you all for sharing ! This thread is totally on fire.... hard to post.

Good to see this place going nuts all over again. Matte painting for a 3d project I'm workin on. I'm still learning, and it's funny how little of the back ground is actually incorperated into the shot. The originals are bigger.

thanks skywalker, ax--hv, and luc.

skywalker -- just wanted to respond to your comments: really appreciate your enthusiasm and glad you see an improvement (kinda the point of doing these girls really, so glad i haven't been wasting my time). as for the textures, i'm just using the technique that Craig pionered, using an old painting (either digital, a watercolour, or the latest masterpiece you created on toiletpaper) to paint onto, or reveal back from (correct me if i'm wrong here, spooge). also, i think using the textural brushes in ps2 tends to give that same 'look' as well. but i think you can learly see those theories being put to use in these 1:1 crops from the work file:

thanks again all Very Happy

Visual Myriad, I have a question. How do you get rid of the stroke edges?Your paintings look very solid.

Thanks to respond my question about the textures Visual Myriad, I have to try that technique!!!
As I said before you are doing a great great work, and that coud be seen in the close ups that you post. Man, the level of detail in that big pictures is incredible (usually a image works better in small sizes). Fantastic details, I have seen many artists trying to capture the style textures that the great Master Spooge Demon does, but never seen nothing so well done like you post in this images of the girls. Congradulations!!!
Your own stryle with that type of textures, is like fresh air in this forum!
(sorry the English, Im Portuguese)

Here`s my little contribution...
