I recently started sharing some Photoshop tutorials, and currently working on more related to matte paintings. Registration is required for certain sections of the site. Anyone interested in visiting the site, please follow the link below. Also feel free to add your tut's on the site. Thanks.

Why another forum? Or more importantly why the need to register to browse the content? I just can't be arsed.

It means I can't be bothered (UK english and a very handy expression). I was upset that I had to register for yet another forum because they force us to when we have no idea what the contents are, if the site is for me or if I will ever visit it again. It's an internet disease I wish would stop.

I clicked the link above and was immediatly presented with a Login and password screen. In 99 cases of a 100 I won't go through the time and effort to register to find out. That's my gripe. Call it techno stress or the 2.8 second rule to reel them in. The back button is just a thumbclick away.

Addendum: Out of curiosity now that I have been so vocal about it I went back today to check the facts and what the site is really about, and it does seem like most of the forum is open to everyone. That's great. Just the tutorial section needs registration (fair enough), but it wasn't so easy to see when immediatly presented with a login / password screen and with all of the above in mind.

Besides you've learned a new expression "I just can't be arsed" Smile

<MCMA> Fair enough, and I respect where you are coming from : )

Actually the part that has tutorials, is related to some matte painting techniques that I am sharing, and also another Cloud Brush tutorial. I am also planning on sharing some of my texture brush sets I have been making in PS.

I know how you feel, and most of the time I also take the time to register, when joining other forums, and it gets frustrating for some people I can understand.

I think it is fair of me to ask, when trying to create a new community, that artists wanting to learn, or see how I work, should take a moment to register, to become a part of the Forum. This way I can e-mail members every time I update the forum with new things/tutorials and the similar, so people can come back and visit, if they want to, and this way you keep in touch with new people you meet, and/or firends you make trough these forums.

Hope this explains things on my end.

Best Regards,

How on earth were you spending those 4 years?! Very Happy

Phrases like "Can't be arsed", "Bugger it", etc. were the stuff on which the very Empire was built! Shocked

But it really is one of my favourite phrases...

"Can you put the trash out?"
"Nah... can't be arsed..."

"Fancy a curry?"
"Can't be arsed ringing up..."

"I would've done the financial report on consumer spending statistics, but ultimately, I couldn't be arsed..."

Ceenda: Hahaha, this is getting funny! =)
Down here in Birmingham I have only heard people using the phrase "Cant be asked"
Maybe "arsed" its a Scottish thing Wink
But then again, brummy is one of the strangest accents in the UK =)
