Pringle: Whoa! Impressive to say the least.
FallDamage: Exactly. It always amazes me how much I can get done if I just don't sleep...
lingy-o: The skylight on your last one looks great.
Duracel: That first tropical one is beautiful.

Another water study, continuing to refine my understanding of each element one at a time...

Radiumflux, I really do like that last one. If it were one of mine, I'd probably apply some dodgeing to some select highlights, but then I use that tool waaay too much (evidence below), so you're probably better off not taking my advice on this one.

digitaldecoy, you've got some real skills there.

syl20, that one is pretty clever, and the lighting is convincing, nice.

Pringle, really nice, as per usual from you.

Well, I went and took a shot at a person (first time in 7 or 8 months), and I was debating whether or not to post this, because I can never tell for myself whther or not they're demented looking :p. Usually if I come back to something in, like, a month, then I'll notice "hey, thats embarassingly poor", but anyway. Leave's me envying Max's consistancy.

Zombat, yea tablets rock. I can remember trying to mouse it back in the day. Arrr...

syl20, thanks

Mitsui, how do you find the Cole dvds?

JZA, I like that a lot :p

SquarePixel, I like the lighting in most of your pieces, do you use dodge at all, or have you shunned it in favor of straight color and value?

Before bed... up at 6 in the mornin for my first inservice day on the other side of the fence...
Sad

Well Theo, don't trouble yourself. As long as the boring guy is amazingly painted, it's fine with me...

Here's my humble attempt at a fairy forrest. Inspired by the fairy forrests of the last coupleahundred pages, namely Duracel.

Briscola, excellent as per usual. I've been saving a lot of your stuff.

Theo-W-P, even if you don't usually do faces, your excellent knowledge of value shines through. The reflection in the glasses is well done.

miles, looks nice. I think I'll try to hit another tree scene next.

gizmodus, really nice feel you've got there, and well constructed.

P-Rik, your extremely creative in your artistic choices, and your illustrations are consitantly original. Seems like I'd never think to do a lot fo what you come up with, even if I had the technical skill.

luc- it's sketchy , but in a well practiced fashion. Makes it look impressive and quick simultaneously.

spyroteknik- that looks really nice, and time consuming for that matter. How long would something like that take?

JZA, yea np, I'm gunna try something woodsy again after yesterdays slight disaster.

HaJ, welcome.

I've been frustrated lately, and I've taken some time to try and reflect on what I'm doing right, and what I'm consistantly messing up in the hopes of smoothing things out a bit. I've refocused somewhat as a result.

thanx FallDamage! Guess you're as kind with others, as you are critical with yourself.
Your clouds and the depth in your landscapes are most beautiful, only the close objects tend to look a little fuzzy.
Maybe some drawing practice could help you become crisper, or use some hard edged brushes. - Don't know if this helps any, but took me quite some thinking...

Yeah Gizmodus, love your forrest! if you were stating something like "don't dodge" you broght it across quite clearly.

Something more graphic from an old scetch of mine.
Did some playing with layer mode.

Zombat, you've got a pretty nice view, eh, and have done a good job captureing it.

miles, I hear you on the detail issue. Most of my sketching right now is figure drawing to try and improve that, but I could definitly use some drawin practice in all catagories. You seem to have a pretty decent understanding of anat, given the facial planes I see you using there. I see people here simplifying effectivly like that, and I think that's one of my main weak areas right now.

cok3, great texture on that.

luc, the girl on the pole is great, I saved it. The effect you've achieved there makes me want to try it myself. Presumably its an ink drawing you scaned in and digitally painted. Just a standard pen on white paper?

spyroteknik, I'd like to learn more about traditional but am focusing on digi right now. You an art student?

FallDamage: Thanks! Glad you liked it. I probably could have made it lighter, but then the duckie would be much brighter as well. Your last two are looking very alive, really impressive.
cok3: Love the grain on that one.
luc: I really like the fluidity and chaos in your first one there.
gizmodus: Beautiful.
Briscola: That clock looks great.
syl20: Thank you, I really felt it click about halfway through.

Gyah, today isn't going so well. I tend to have trouble with stone...

digitaldecoy: fantastic technique, is it painter or....?

squarepixel: nice pixels Smile

briscola, this lighting is so juicy, same question as to ddecoy...
